2009 zonta woman of the year
The Zonta Clubs of Hilton Head Island and Bluffton are honored to announce the winner of this year’s Woman of the Year Award, Mary Briggs. Ms. Briggs received the award on Saturday, January 23th at the Hilton Head Island - Bluffton Chamber of Commerce’s annual Chamber Ball.

This award recognizes local women who have made significant contributions in their
professions and to the community.
This award was started more than 20 years ago
to recognize those women who have given
their time and expertise to our community
while effectively managing their professional
positions, their families and other roles.
About Mary Briggs:
Along with her position with Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, Mary plays leadership roles in Women in Philanthropy as the current chair of Education Committee and member of the Board, Hilton Head Island Rotary Club as the program committee. She will join the Rotary Board as a director beginning in July 2010. Mary has been a member of the Greater Island Chamber of Commerce 1997, serving on the workforce preparation, the education committee, and the arts and cultural committee.
